EmSub recently went away for the weekend to St Abbs in Scotland at the beginning of May. The instructors decided to incorporate some rescue skills while we were there and decided to call the event “May Day weekend“ . MayDay is the internationally recognised distress call in radio communications .We were shown how to administer oxygen and how to use an AED by the instructors and we all had ago. This is a useful skill to have in case of an emergency. After our lessons, we went down to the harbour and did some diver rescue
training and used the oxygen & AED that we had just learnt. This enabled us to get our rescue skills signed off.It was a great weekend of diving and learning.
